NOTES + TIPS
☀️ Weather: Warm, humid, with occasional rain. October is still hurricane season, so a light rain jacket or waterproof bag is handy.
💦Mosquitoes: More common near the jungle and cenotes—bug spray and light long sleeves work well.
🌊 Beach & Cenotes: Water shoes make swimming and exploring easier. Reef-safe sunscreen is recommended to protect your skin and the environment.
👔 Dressy Outfits: Tulum is mostly relaxed and casual, but you’ll find a few spots where something a little dressier fits the vibe.
💵 Money: Cash is accepted almost everywhere and often preferred. Pesos are best for taxis, food stands, and small shops. ATMs are around but not always reliable.
🔌 Electricity: Same plugs as the U.S. (Type A/B), so no adapter needed.
